Frequently asked questions
RAP’s hydrochloric acid (HCl) purification plant is a cutting-edge facility designed to transform industrial-grade hydrochloric acid (HCl), typically at 35-37% purity, into ultra- high-purity semiconductor-grade HCl. This process meets the exacting demands of the semiconductor industry, where trace impurities can impair microchip production. By embedding sustainability into its core operations, the plant integrates advanced purification technologies, resource efficiency, and waste minimization to achieve environmental and economic balance.
Global supply chains face unprecedented disruption due to port strikes, geopolitical tensions, and infrastructure limitations. During the 2020 pandemic, we witnessed severe port restrictions causing months-long delays and unpredictable delivery schedules. Today's import challenges continue with labor disputes, vessel shortages, and international conflicts creating bottlenecks that compromise consistent product delivery. RAP’s domestic production eliminates these international shipping uncertainties, providing reliable delivery schedules you can depend on.
Regional Acid Production LP (RAP) is a dedicated Ultra-High-Purity HCl manufacturing plant located in the United States, owned and operated by Americans. The industrial-grade hydrochloric acid (HCl) feedstock is sourced exclusively from USA facilities, and the RAP purification process will take place at the Texas plant. RAP will not use Niacet or any Chinese suppliers.
